Antique store with outdoor display

“Your Journey to the Past Begins Here”

As the Antique Corral has grown, so has the range of treasures available. Whether you’re looking for unique Western décor, one-of-a-kind Native American artifacts, rustic furniture, or outdoor decorations, there’s something for everyone. Cheryl and her team are always on the hunt for new inventory, ensuring the store is stocked with a constantly changing selection of items that reflect the spirit of the area.

In 2011, Cheryl added another personal touch to the store by opening the “Lunch Counter.” Inspired by classic 1950s diners, it offers a nostalgic spot to enjoy homemade burgers, hand-spun milkshakes, and other comfort food – just like the ones Cheryl fondly remembers from her childhood.

At Antique Corral, we’re more than just an antique store – we’re a place where history comes to life. Whether you stop by for a quick visit or spend the day exploring, we invite you to experience the treasures of the past.

Growing up in the Southwest, Cheryl Dean developed a deep appreciation for the history and culture of the American West and Native American traditions. Raised in southwest Colorado, Cheryl’s love for the region's unique heritage began early, from hunting for arrowheads to collecting a wide variety of items that tell the story of the area.

In 2004, Cheryl opened Antique Corral in the heart of Cortez, Colorado, with the goal of sharing her passion for Western antiques and collectibles with others. What started as a small shop soon outgrew its original location on South Broadway. In 2008, the store moved to its current location south of Cortez on Hwy 160/491. This 15,000-square-foot space allowed Cheryl to expand the store’s offerings, from Native American relics and Western collectibles to antique furniture, vintage décor, and outdoor items.
